This study investigates how the brain controls movements and how loss of limb function due to paralysis or amputation may affect the brain’s activity when thinking about movement. This research could provide important information for developing better treatment options for limb function loss.
People living in the greater Melbourne area who have limb function loss due to amputation, muscular degeneration or paralysis are invited to participate in this research.
Your brain activity will be measured using machines that record electrical and magnetic activity produced by your brain. The scanners are completely non-invasive and they are reliable and safe methods that has been used for many years.
