A qualitative descriptive exploratory study is being undertaken aiming to identify and explore gaps and opportunities that occur in the management of stroke in South Australian regional and rural healthcare sites. The study hopes to utilise the information generated to define the scope of a new but, sustainable, nursing coordinator role that is appropriate for the South Australian rural and/or remote healthcare setting.

If you are either a consumer or carer of a consumer of stroke services that were provided in a healthcare site located in a rural or remote area of South
Australia, you are eligible to participate.

Participation involves taking part in a once-only individual face to face or telephone or ZOOM interview. In the interview, you will be asked about your use
of regional stroke services, what you thought were gaps in the services provided and, any difficulties or obstacles you experienced at the time.
