A sub-study of the 'Predicting and Promoting Aphasia Recovery' (PAPAR) project
This study looks at language impairment (aphasia) after stroke. "Will I get better" is often asked by individuals and families. This study aims to determine the best way to provide information about recovery in response to this question.
Researchers want to interview people with aphasia and their significant others to know their experiences of finding out how much better aphasia will get. They want to know how people with aphasia and their significant others would prefer to receive information about how much better aphasia will get.
Who can take part?
- Person with aphasia
- Significant other of a person with aphasia
- Between 3 and 12 months after stroke
- Aged 18 years or older.

- 30-minute online interview
- Language test of aphasia
