ADaPT: Aphasia, Depression, and Psychological Treatment

Recruitment is continuing for this study, which now includes the option of attending therapy via telehealth.

Participation in this study is an opportunity for survivors of stroke with depression and aphasia to access high-quality intervention at no cost.

The research team are seeking expressions of interest from people with aphasia and low mood/depression after stroke, to participate in a Melbourne-based study with full ethics approval.

Research participants will take part in a 10-session intervention program delivered by a qualified clinical neuropsychologist, at no cost.

Sessions will be individual, and either:

  • face-to-face in Melbourne (south-east suburb), or
  • via telehealth,

with a COVID-safe protocol.

This study is being led by psychologists and speech pathologists.
