Who it's for:
The group is open for adults residing in the Northern Health catchment with an acquired brain injury (i.e. stroke, Parkinson’s disease etc.)

 

When:

Every first and third Friday of the month at 10:30am

 

About this group
The group gives people with aphasia, dysarthria, dyspraxia or dysphonia the opportunity to communicate in a friendly, safe, supportive and non-judgmental setting.
The group establishes support networks and new friendships for people who share a common experience and assists people to regain social confidence and most importantly self-esteem.

  

Free to attend?
There is an out of pocket fee to attend each week. Participant needs to be linked in with a Speech Pathologist and be a Northern Health client referred under a funding stream (e.g. CHSP, NDIS, HACC PYP and SACS) depending on client’s age.

 

 How to join.
The participant are referred by their Speech Pathologist. Referral document will be sent to the SP on request if client falls within the selection criteria requirements.
