Value of remembering
Dear stroke survivors, with a long weekend approaching (in Vic), I would like to share with you one of my memories. My grandfather (mother's side) loved poetry and one of his favourite poems was by Goethe. I don't know the name of the poem, but the message is clear to this day. It is about a person coming across a beautiful rose - just when the person was about to cut the rose and take it, the rose 'spoke': 'don't cut me and put me in a vase to die, take me with all my roots and plant me in your garden, and enjoy in my scent and beaty every year'! Have a great long weekend!
