If anyone reads this and thinks I deserve a serve, go ahead, our Astrophysicist’s friends have got their empty peg boards marked sentient life out as they extol the science of a new telescope which can show a dot of a “planet” circling a star light years away- with the ability to measure any gases present- such as methane produced by green slime.
In case you think I am dismissive of the science involved, let me assure you this is not the case. I support the concept of turning guns into plow shares.
Now, could I point out that there are a multitude of empty pegboards available- (millions of children die every year from malnutrition) plenty of room there for advances in food production. (Treatments for malaria, flu, measles, and the various fevers that come from tropical areas).
Now, could I point out our planet chasers are not responsible for these problems, but perhaps their technology could help. Never stop looking for solutions in unusual places. But then, I class the axle as the most important element in locomotion.
Anthropologists, that disputatious mob, mostly say that if evolution was rerun any number of times, the results would always be different. As one should expect with a process based on random selection enough.
