0 CommentsThe smalls have one objective, to get that ball no matter where it is, speed is essential.
Then there are the talls, in the forward half who take harks and kick goals. And at the back half our talls try to prevent the opposition form taking marks.
Then there are a few lumbering giants who wrestle for the ball in set plays.
That’s enough to explain the game.
In Melbourne, experts giving a running commentary on the game use a couple of sayings which I hope I can get right.
- He dropped an easy chest mark which he should have held. But he buttered up and punched the ball forward.
- The game has been played at high speed and in the fourth quarter there are a lot of tired men out there. The smalls have lost their speed but the talls are still the same height. Good stuff
