This article could be relevant to some of my 70-80-90 tear SAP’s.
So here goes, my physio Emm, provided recovery therapy services to me at the gym.
So there I sat, dozing in a wheelchair, waiting for hip surgery in a hospital after a fall at home. I was in a sterile ward with a glass wall facing a corridor. Orthopod staff who were returning to their normal station after a visit outside this sterile area had to gown up in plastic. Only staff were allowed to use this corridor. So imagine my surprise when I saw Emm, my physio, in a pink one-size-fits-all plastic gown and a pink bonnet on her head. Readers will have grasped that she had no right to be there. Our eyes met and we exchanged a wave, then another and she was gone.
Now this is a classic case of ‘going the extra mile.’ I hope all of our old SAP’s have access to this when needed.
