This group started in 2008 by three ladies whose husbands had all suffered major strokes.
With the changing roles from wife to carer trying to motivate ongoing rehabilitation exercise and self run physiotherapy programs once their husbands were discharged from hospital was difficult.
By starting up a support groups closer to home it provided the ideal opportunity for their husbands to meet and talk with other stroke survivor It also provided the ladies with a change to discuss their concerns with other carer’s
The group meet the first Thursday of each month 10am to 12 noon at the Library in Grand Plaza Drive Browns Plains.
The group is open to all stroke survivors, family and friends
