Researchers at Melbourne University are inviting people who have previously taken part in clinical trials — including Adaptive Platform Trials (APTs) — to share their Lived Experience

Clinical trials test new treatments to ensure they are safe and effective. Adaptive Platform Trials are a specialised form of clinical research that can assess several treatments at once and adjust the trial design as results emerge.

The Research team at Melbourne University is developing a decision‑making tool to help researchers understand when APTs are the most effective and cost‑efficient trial design. Your lived experience, drawn from your involvement in either APTs or traditional clinical trials, will play an important role in helping the team reach their research goals.

The objectives of this research project are to ascertain Experiences participating in APTs; Perceived benefits, costs, and challenges; and factors that influence participation in clinical trials.
