This blog was aligned to my seventh anniversary of my stroke and describes the changes that occurred to me.

I composed this blog after being appointed to the CI-IQ Steering Committee, whose principal activity is to consider funding proposals for clinical trials in all aspects of medical research. In this blog I illustrate the growth in the scope of my activities outside of a stroke related gendre.

I was motivated to write this after I spoke to a fellow stroke survivor who was impacted by a rather inconsiderate comment by a doctor.
I liken the perpetual nature of my stroke rehab to walking along a Long and Winding Road.

Lived Experience is a truly powerful factor in Stroke Research and I am a fervent advocate of harnessing its intellectual and clinical power.

When this was said to me by a physio in rehab, I realised that my rehab was a long-term process-And I was right!
StrokeEd’s Webinars may have disappeared into cyberspace, but their wisdom lives on.
