In my opinion, Stroke Week 2026 is an invitation for us to pause and recognise a community whose strength is often quiet, often unseen, yet profoundly transformative.
Across Australia, stroke survivors rebuild their lives one determined step, one hard‑won word, one moment of courage at a time.
This week is not simply a celebration of survival; it is an acknowledgment of the extraordinary resilience, creativity, and humanity that emerge in the aftermath of stroke.
We honour those who continue to adapt, persevere, and inspire — individuals whose daily efforts illuminate what it truly means to rise after life has changed without warning.
My blog - Where Quiet Courage Learns to Rise Again — The Journey of Stroke Survivors - is my tribute to every stroke survivor, a recognition of your courage, your persistence, and the quiet victories that define true strength.
