Earlier this year Australian Aphasia Association held an Aphasia camp in the Gold Coast, QLD.

The impact of Aphasia is broad ranging, but most people will agree that feelings of isolation are a massive challenge, with a higher incidence of depression and anxiety in people with Aphasia after stroke.

This is why having the opportunity to come together as a community to share meals, stories and meet face to face is so damn important.

The fabulous Emma Beesley took vids at the camp, and Prof Linda Worrell shared her insights about Aphasia, and it’s impacts too.
