Hi Lyn, my stroke happened 6 months ago, like you I have / had lots of numbness and certainly some pins and needles. I have been using essential oils for the last month and a half and it does seem to help.
I have never done anything with them previously but, you know... sometimes you just have to try.
My wife went to an "oil" thing at our Vet to learn about using essential oils with your pet, she was pretty excited and I was like, year right. But...
I was only sleeping 4 hours a night which is not enough to recover from living a day let alone recover from a stroke... so I started there, lavender oil, broke it down a bit and as per instructions, put it on my feet, yes, feet. I slept 7 1/2 hours that first night... got me, what else have they got.
There are areas on the head that are recommended to massage various oils to help recover from stroke, temples, mastoid, neck. After such a short time I lost the fog from my brain, my right side has improved, both arm and leg.
I can't say it will work for everyone, but if it helps...
There is some to learn so there is a bit of reading, on those areas (head and neck) Iv'e been using two different oils, Frankincense during the day and Helichrysum at night, along with the lavender of course.
And no I don't sell any oils, I'm just a convert who's feeling better.
