Hi everyone.

Who felt they lost their identity post stroke? I know I did. It's a HUGE loss..not just the life you had, the wished you could get back, but the person you have trouble accepting! I found Debra Meyerson recently on Twitter and she is writing a book entitled Identity theft ad she has a blog on her website. Thanks for this. I loved the poem...as I was reading it Pam Ayres sprung to mind and so I was reading it in her voice.

Thanks Toni. Yes, many people say that my poetry is like Pam Ayres. it is easy to read and understand. I am very happy that my book helps many stroke survivors and carers understand the emotional ride of a stroke survivor. I have written loads more since my book was published and often post random poems on my Facebook page, including my life as a Stroke Safe Ambassador. My poem about Post stroke depression, available on my website is a popular one and often helps people understand how they feel, as its difficult to put into words.
