The first two stays in the hospital were due to early morning collapses. Hospital treatment was similar. Stabilize heart activity, check general health, observe and discharge, the one hospital handled both entries. Within about two month, sorry for the rough time.
However, two hospital stays with similar less than long term results raises the question, “where to go if I have an adverse event”. A couple of weeks ago, I felt weak and called 000, it was a Saturday. I told the ambos to take me to another hospital for my third go at getting stable heart outcome. As I am writing this, so far so good.
On admission, I was assessed for general health and passed on to the duty cardiologist who fitted me with a remote E.C.G, checked my medications. My heart was in broken rhythm next day so the cardio injected various meds to restore normal rhythm.
Monday. Normal hospital routine. Blood taken for path tests, physio took me for a walk. Group visits by cardios, diagnosed as dehydrated, put on water drip.
Tuesday. Senior consultant cardio arrives and takes control of my case. Changes in medication agreed.
Wednesday discharge arranged after ultrasound.
Home. Slow walking.
