I was reading about this scheme tonight taht started in teh UK and is used at Brisbane Airport. It doesn;t replace Special Assistance, ie wheelchair or personal escort, but is for those who need help due to anxiety or get overwhelmed amongst other things.
If travelling to the UK you can apply to have one sent to prior to your trip

What a great suggestion, and I would certainly wear a lanyard.
Currently as a result of my stroke I am a light sleeper and the noisey air conditioner from the neighbours next door probably causes sensory overload resulting in sleep problems.
I will take your previous advice and explain my situation and hopefully the neighbours will turn their air conditioner off/down by 10 pm without me having to complain to the council as they are nice neighbours.

Hi Ian, Changes in sleep/ sleeping diffiuclties seem to be common after stroke. I think if you do a search on enable me or the SFoundatiosn site you'll find some info. Did you speak to your neighbours and if so how did it go?
