Federal Budget overview from Carers Australia

We may be in the middle of a Federal election at the moment, but announcements in the last Federal Budget will still affect carers and stroke survivors. And with some of them coming into effect on 1 July 2016, it's a good time to be aware of them.

Carers Australia, the national peak body representing Australia's carers, has put together a helpful document outlining these measures and how they can affect you. These include:

• Carer Allowance backdating to end
• Disability Support Pension (DSP) recipients review
• Single Income Family Supplement to cease
• Mobility Allowance changes
• Energy Supplement to cease for all new recipients.
