I have written three articles which I consider are valuable for the stroke community.

Number 1:

The objective is in the title “Recovery from Stroke”. A neuro physio is the co-author. It is hard to say anything new about stroke, but I consider the way we presented our matter is close to original work.

Number 2:

I proved that a stroke term which had no content had no meaning. See it top left on enableme brochure.

Number 3:

Four to one stroke recovery chain which I worked out for myself. I predict that the appropriate experts will bring the 4 to 1 system to fruition, for the benefit of the stroke community.

Now? So why do I post it?

It is how I felt a year or so ago. I believe my three points will remain valid so cheerio!

Hi Angus,

I hope you don't leave us. I have read your blogs and I have found them interesting, especially the one on the term 'stroke afflicted.' I like it, so I use it.

Thanks for your kind comments. I have to stop saying this is my last story. I have a lot of stuff to come but I have some books from my library to read in my “retirement”

Please keep writing.

I will read out your posts to my 73 year old dad who had a major stroke last year. He was so independent prior to his stroke and it saddens us all that he needs to be cared for in a nursing home as he is severly paralysed on his right side.

However, we have kept up his physio treatments - and he looks really well

I am inspired by how you've written these posts.

I'm trying to find ways to help my dad engage in the nursing home. He is so dependent on people having to help him all the time, and its such a vulnerable place to be.

He engages in activities at the nursing home, but sometimes finds it boring

I want him to start reading again, and not watch TV all the time, and now sourcing a book holder and page turner that can help him as he only has movement on his left side.

What's difficult also is that he is right handed. If you have suggestions of reading aid, please let me know.

Thanks heaps again for your posts - it interests me to read your insights as an older person
