Today at the invitation of Dr. Simone Dorsch. Senior Lecturer in Physiotherapy, North Sydney Campus, Australian Catholic University, North Sydney Campus Stephanie Ho \{a fellow stroke survivor\} and myself had the priveledge of telling our Stroke Story \{via ZOOM\} to Final Year Physio students.This is the 5th consecutive year that we both have been invited and once again the level of discussion and questions that were generated were of the same high standard we encountered on the previous occasions.
The standard of the students we have met this year and in previous years augurs well for the future high standard of physiotherapy as a key element in stroke rehabilitation.
As well as relating our respective stories we were able to provide our insights and learnings to the students which they willingly took on board.
I am continually amazed each time I hear Stephanie’s stroke story- her will to heal and inner strength is remarkable.
A great day all round and a real priveledge for us to be part of.
