Another headache after two white wines with a fab vegetarian dinner for six of us last night! The six of us were first, our daughter , (a vet with the save the Tas Devil Team). She had picked up a 26yr old hitch-hiker,a South African whose parents reside in Western Australia, who'd been wandering through North America picking up work as he went, about to do the same (picking fruit hopefully now in Tasmania); A vet who'd completed her doctorate in new reproductive techniques and the Tasmanian Devil (thesis still in our living room.) Another vet from S.America researching Tas Devils here, with his GP friend. Then us, Colette's parents. It was such a happy gathering. Colette has been picking up stray wild animals and people ever since she could drive and we're happy to have them in our home.
Well I've been trying to wean myself off wine because it hasn't been agreeing with me for all of this year.
So is it back to one glass and heaps of water? Let's see.
Have been trying so hard! I don't feel sick with two glasses any more, but I invariably have a headache sometime before getting up the next day or upon arising.
The latest new neighbours turned up to pick up the native trees and shrubs we'd picked up for the Coastcare Group I started in 2000, 6 years after my stroke. They too are joining our little band of Land for Wildlife properties along the shores of North West Bay here. Next Saturday is our annual meeting here and BBQ afterwards below. This morning I picked up newly growing Monpellier brooms, an environmental weed which sprang up after our children had removed agapanthus from that area. Blackberries in the gully to be removed next! And on it goes. I have to be so careful pulling out weeds, especially doing the wrong thing and bending over!
AND HERE'S AN OLD BLOG i JUST FOUND FROM DEC 2,

"Am feeling mad because I've been at the computer all day. Already updated my status on Facebook. There I have relatives and friends and get responses. In between I need to check emails in & out deleting as many as I can.
. Then I need to check the National Stroke Foundation Facebook page too. So I'm madly skipping from one to the other. It's too much really. No Scrabble played.
Worst of all I can't find out where I began the minutes for our Tinderbox West Coastcare Group meeting last Saturday. So they're still waiting on a big piece of butcher paper. Still waiting to get outside. NSF Hobart has a voice/singing expression workshop now. So must sing tho opne of the songs we sing to the whole group @ our XMAS LUNCH ON Monday. O Gawd... the computer stopped and popped up I'm out of here.
