Since my Stroke in April 2016, I have had the privilege of addressing in excess of 1.000 student clinicians [Physiotherapists Occupational Therapists] and a number of commercial rehab practises about my stroke; my rehab journey; and my insights and learnings.
I have addressed students at the Australian Catholic University, North Sydney Campus, Newcastle University and to my distinct pleasure I am addressing students and faculty in March 2024 at the University of East Anglia, Norfolk. UK.
Sadly, that will be via ZOOM!
My lecture comprises a 45 min PowerPoint Presentation followed by a Q &A. session which invariably goes over time- but I do not mind!
The questions cover a wide range of stroke related topics and I answer them honestly, which is appreciated by my audiences.
The resection and feedback from these lectures have been humbling and the feedback has included comments as follows- Extremely informative; Importance of determination; Brian was engaging and was enjoyable to listen to his story and perspective; Enlightening from patient’s perspective; Brian was awesome, I loved him! I didn’t want Brian’s lecture to end
Over the past month or so I have gone over the questions and have compiled a list of the top questions that were asked at these lectures and have written a blog titled
Top Ten (Or so) Questions....I have been asked about my Stroke over the past 7 years.
Please enjoy, I hope you find these questions [and my answers interesting.
