I’m excited to introduce myself to young stroke survivors and the wider Stroke Community. I am the face behind Autumn Style; a personal styling service with a special point of difference.
A bit about me; originally from sunny Perth, I’ve always had an innate drive for helping people, which led to a career in the healthcare sector. Practicing as a Neurological Physiotherapist for over 13 years, I’ve built upon my skills of improving lives through movement and rehabilitation.
Fashion was always in the background, a favourite pass time. It wasn’t until starting a family was a new light shed on the power of a personal style as I moved through a different phase of my life.
Of course, this got me thinking about every patient I’ve seen, interreacted with and treated over many years… Just like physical rehabilitation from injury, your personal style is powerful in how it makes you feel, and therefore how you interact with the world. What has always struck me watching the stroke survivor journey is the loss of confidence and sense of identity. I truly believe our bodies are amazing, and every human deserves to feel wonderful in the body they are in. I believe style can do that for a person.
So, I’ve set out to work closely with individuals to improve their lives by becoming more empowered through their style. The goal is to help people get that wonderful feeling when they open their wardrobe’s and get dressed every single day. After completing a Certificate of Fashion Styling with the Australian Style Institute, I’ve launched Autumn Style: a Personal Styling service to help every human through any season of life.
Does this resonate with you? Do you need inspiration when it comes to your own personal style?
This year, for the months of June and July, I am offering a Personal Styling Service to Young Stroke Survivors. This can be 1:1, or even better get a group together for a group styling session. I want to know what is it that you need?
- Is it help discovering brands that cater for adaptive clothing?
- Is it shopping and styling inspiration?
- Is it company while going shopping?
- Or do you want to learn how to style clothes you already own in a new way?
Whatever is it, I want to meet you and chat. I’m located in Richmond, Melbourne and have dedicated two days a week to this service. Contact me via email at welcome@autumnstyle.com.au, I’d love to hear from you!
Yours in Style,
Sarah
