This week (9 – 16 May) we celebrate National Volunteer Week and say a huge thank you to all of our fantastic volunteers at the Stroke Foundation.
The theme for this year’s National Volunteer Week continues on from last year’s theme: Give Happy, Live Happy. This theme highlights the strong association that volunteering has with overall health, happiness, well-being and longevity.
At the Stroke Foundation, our volunteers enhance the work we do across a number of areas: front of house, administration and data entry, resource packing, coordinating and conducting community education sessions, income development, donor relations, and advocacy, and of course our Board, Clinical and Consumer Councils.
Pictured below are two of our wonderful Reception/Admin volunteers, Tracey and Shirley, in our Melbourne office today. These are two of the friendly voices you might speak to at our national office.
Thank you to all Stroke Foundation volunteers!
