Hi Daniele (Nina, Sophia, et al.),

You replied yesterday (Monday, 31/08/26), to my article on ‘a philosophy of stroke,’ with this insight: “I look at my fellow survivors here where I live and I see that incredible spark in their eyes and I know they have the key to survive even if they cannot communicate it.” This is a really profound experience of living with illness, where an idiom does not yet exist in our common vocabulary to describe sparkling eyes illuminating a stroke space from which to reason.
