0 CommentsI've been cursing all week, because on Monday night I did an extra 5 minutes on the bike after a fairly hard training session and then I lost my balance getting off the bike and landed on my butt. I collected the right shin across the back stand of the bike so I've got a couple of pretty good bruises there but the real problem was the rebound through the left butt, hip and shoulder that I landed on, which I was only aware of the next day once the muscles all cooled down. I seized up through my hip lower back and ribs, and it meant the other 2 training sessions for the week were mostly spent on stretching and mobilising the seized muscles. I'm going to get "the look" when I see the physio next week. Could barely walk most of Tuesday, just as well I'd already arranged a work from home day. Just 5 minutes too much because I got cocky and I've lost at least a weeks progress.
