Meredith Burke, a Stroke Survivor chats with Dina Pogrebnoy, PhD candidate, on I-REBOUND about the techniques she uses to manage her fatigue.
It is no easy task, e.g., as she explains in an honest and heartfelt chat. It is complicated.
As she outlines, determining the best time in the day to do important things/tasks is a priority.
But don’t have me tell you, click on her interview and see first-hand the sheer value of I-REBOUND-
Co-Designed by Stroke Survivors.
The I-REBOUND website has been developed by the Stroke Foundation and the University of Newcastle and co-designed with survivors of stroke. It has been designed to reduce the risk of subsequent strokes by providing resources for eating well and moving more.
Meredith was on the Consumer Advisory Group for the design, creation of I-REBOUND and as with the other stroke survivors, her [and their] Lived Experience was vital to what is a ‘first” in stroke management in Australia.
Here Professor Coralie English University of Newcastle who provided sage and strategic leadership for the I-REBOUND project team explains the project and the Website in more detail.
My Key Messages.
Lived Experience is like that extra splash of extra virgin olive oil over the verdant lettuce and the home-grown cherry tomatoes from le Jardin de Beh. Completes the experience!
