Correction of quote, and full citation disclosure.
On the 26 of August, 2026, I replied to Damian’s article, ‘Stroke, Mental Health and the Issue of Unemployment,’ posted on Enable Me the day before (25/08/26).
In my reply I cited two scholarly articles in reference to stroke rehabilitation. It behoves me to cite these references correctly.
The quote used in the reply, “new language,” was incorrect, the original quote is “new vocabulary,” in the article authored by
Jarrett, L. (2018). Stroke Odysseys: Performance Arts After Stroke, a Service Innovation for Neurological Rehabilitation, British Journal of Neuroscience Nursing, 14 (supplement 5). https://doi.org/10.12968/bjnn.2018.14.Sup5.S18 (p. 1).
The other reference, to the existence of a stroke service gap in the UK, originates in the article authored by
Pindus et al. (2018). ‘Stroke Survivors’ and Informal Caregivers’ experiences of Primary Care and Community Services – a Systematic Review and Meta-Ethnography. PLoS ONE 13(2):e0192533. https://doi.org/10.1371/journal.pone.0192533 (pp. 14-15).
