Well I am seven months into recovery from my Ischemic stroke and while my recovery has been great, and I feel like I am 95% back to 'normal' things haven't been going great lately.
The worst part of the stroke damage was tremors in my left hand with associated minor problems with the left arm and in the last week, it feels like things have gone backwards.
Last week and tonight, I was reaching towards a cup to grab it to take a drink and the next thing I know the cup has been knocked over and spilled it's contents everywhere. Cue me scrambling around to try and clean it up so the mess doesn't go too far.
I've also noticed that typing on the computer or using the touchscreen on my iPad has been problematical and I make a lot of mistakes resulting in spelling errors I need to spend time going back and correcting.
So now I am having to try and develop a habit of watching what my left hand is doing instead of just letting 'autopilot' reactions do things and it is difficult to overcome that habit.
I don't currently have any physical therapy I can use to get help with the problem so am trying to think of how to 'fix' this problem.
Thanks for listening and hope youor recovery is going good.
