EnableMe | enableme - stroke recovery and support

last year I booked a trip to China then had. Stroke in December,our trip is in October this year,has anyone found travel insurance that covers a stroke.

Yes! I have been overseas twice, two different companies. Went to NZ and used Covermore, I can't remember who the insurance was with went I went to Italy (on a school tour - I'm a teacher, it was organised through the tour company). Both times I had to pay a little bit more, but both were happy to cover me as long as I was stable and following all medical advice. I know I had to take additional aspirin for the flights and ensure I walked around etc. when I flew to Rome.

Hi Malcolm, I'm travelling to the Uk in April, my first ever overseas trip, and I have got insurance through Covermore. Listing my strokes as preexisiting conditions added about $200 to the premium which I considered a very reasonable amount.
If you look under the 'Forums' tab you'll find a couple of threads re travel insurance which may also be helpful
