Everyone has told me how far I have come from the day that I had a Brain Haemorrhage. It’s so hard to remember what I was like on that fateful day. I think my brain has protected me from remembering the first weeks after brain surgery and the pain which is a good thing. But ever since, I have no idea how I looked to other people, I just remember being a different person to who I had always been.
Since my friends and family keep saying this to me, I have decided to do some searching on how I can remember what I have done in the 18 months since I had the haemorrhage. My memory isn’t that good J and I remember by seeing or smelling. So I have started a video diary that is easy – an app that records a second per day of my life and mashes it all into a film for me.
Each day has a section that I can record in writing what I have been up to, how I felt and what I was doing. The visual reminder is a perfect way for me to keep a record of what the day was like and who I was with. The hard part is deciding which memory to video or photograph J
The program is called 1 second everyday and is very easy to use. I found it via a TED talk by the founder, Cesar Kuriyama.
I would like to do a longer video diary – maybe me speaking into the camera but I will have to have a look around to what is available.
If you have any suggestions, I would love hearing about them. And how you document how your journey is going.
