How do we apply mindfulness in daily life? Often you would read about the meditation itself where you either go to a retreat or to a silent place, sit on ground or in a chair with body upright and meditate. But the development of mindfulness is stronger when you apply it to your daily chores. Supposing you in the morning go to toilet to pass urine or fecal matter, you must be mindful of that action. People often do this action with certain amount of revulsion. That should not be the case, but be aware of what you are doing. same goes for brushing teeth, shaving your face, washing your face or taking a shower or bath. Be mindful of each moment and not digress your mind elsewhere. Same applies to getting dressed up, doing up your bed, eating your breakfast or drinking tea or water. Whether you are eating, drinking tea or savoring the taste be mindful of it all. This mindfulness enables you to feel easy and happy in the morning itself. Same applies to driving your car, always mindful of the actions in that moment. You start like that, then your office routine too becomes easier. You are not having your consciousness illustrated with unwanted things and this enables you to live in that moment and not digress all the time to past or future. best regards
