Great question and hopefully others will respond with suggestions. 

I would suggest that if you, or the passenger have contact with an Occupational Therapist, it would be a good idea to ask this question of them. This way they could ensure that the recommendation will be the best option for you or your passenger, and if there are other issues impacting on the car transfer, these will be reviewed as well.

Another option would be to have a look at, or visit your local Independent Living Centre.  You can find your local centre here. You can call or visit them, or view their products on line. You can find their stock of swivel car seats here.  They also have a list of websites that provide second hand equipment which may be of interest. You can find this here.

Kerri: I have tried one at a disability shop, actually took it to my car and sat on it but that one wasn't very good. I'm sure there are others out there. Def try before you buy.

David: A plastic bag works just as well

Tanya: I’ve found over the years that these tend to shift and be hard to land exactly on. I find a plastic shopping bag (the grey slippery ones) work just as well if not better. Good luck finding your solution
