Why Does the Foundation need a new Stroke Strategy?
With the Foundation’s current strategy, Stroke Strategy 2024; Empowering, Supporting, Connecting ending, it is time to develop a new strategy. This new Stroke Strategy will be a roadmap for achieving our Mission.
As Dr Lisa Murphy, Chief Executive Officer, Stroke Foundation says “Our new strategy is about what we want to achieve and how we are going to achieve it. It is our map and without it we will be lost
This is our strategy, a strategy for the stroke community, so the only way to make it meaningful is to have the involvement of the stroke community. We cannot do this alone!”
How You can contribute to this important initiative.
Your input is vital, it will be valued, respected, and heeded. To ensure you have an opportunity to contribute, the Foundation’s Engagement strategies will comprise Online Surveys and Focus Groups.
If you wish to participate there are some key dates that you should be aware of.
Online-Surveys.
Survey. The first consultation survey is now open. Please complete the survey by 9am Tuesday 12 March 2024. The survey and more information about our updated Stroke Strategy is now available on our website.

. Focus Groups.
We are holding a limited number of focus groups this week and there are still spaces available. Focus groups provide a different way to give feedback.

My key message is simple – Take advantage of this opportunity and make sure your voice, your Lived Experience is again revealed to the strategists at the Stroke Foundation.
