Brain injury understood

Another blog for today!

I suffered my stroke in 2013 and my editor for my book A Stroke of Poetry was the lovely Alex Fullerton, and we became good friends. Two years later, she had a motorbike accident and suffered brain trauma, much of her ongoing recovery and brain issues, were similar to mine. We have helped each other through these times, and as such, we wrote a joint article for MUSE Magazine Australia. This is actually the first time Alex has shared her story with her friends and many of her family so even though she found it cathartic to do so, she has shown what she describes as her vulnerability for all to see. Something she is not used to. We continue to help each other and we all know we need that support.
