Stroke Foundation is building a clearer, more supportive pathway for people who want to speak up and take action on stroke (advocate), whether that's writing to your local MP, sharing your story, or getting involved in other ways.
To help us get it right, we're inviting a people with connection to stroke to take part in a short, anonymous and confidential survey about what would make you want to get involved, and stay involved in advocacy with Stroke Foundation.
We're keen to understand things like:
- What matters most to you when it comes to stroke - is there a particular area that you feel most passionate about?
- What would motivate you to speak up, share your story, or advocate for change?
- What's held you back in the past, or made past involvement with an organisation fall flat (Stroke Foundation or another)?
- What kind of activities you'd genuinely enjoy or feel confident doing to advocate.
- What support, training or information would help you feel ready and confident.
- How much time feels realistic for you to give, and how you'd like to stay in touch about opportunities.
There are no right or wrong answers. Your answers will directly shape how Stroke Foundation engages supporters and helps them advocate for better stroke care outcomes in the future.
Completing the survey should only take 5 minutes.
Thank you for contributing to this survey by Monday 24 August.
