Key dates
Grant applications open: Monday 24 July 2017
Grant applications close: 5pm AEST, Monday 25 September 2017
Grants awarded: December 2017
In 2018, the Stroke Foundation is offering seed grants of up to $50,000 for early to mid-career researchers.
Seed grants are to conduct pilot or feasibility studies to inform larger, nationally competitive grant submissions, e.g. National Health & Medical Research Council project grants.
Proposals will be funded to improve access to and delivery of:
- Long term stroke recovery support (transition of care, follow-up interventions and long term support).
- High quality acute stroke care (especially aspects of care in the quality standards, access to stroke unit care, time critical treatment), i.e. translation into practice.
- Support for carers.
Preference will be given to mid-career researchers.
