Karen B posted this on the Stroke Foundation Facebook wall, I thought I would share:
“One day while I was in rehab the woman in the bed next to me asked me to read out a number from her mobile phone, as it was too small for her to see. I read it out to her and she wrote the number down on a piece of paper. She then asked me to dial the number as she read it back to me. I'll never forget her look of confusion and anguish as she tried to navigate the complexities of telephoning a family member or friend. This woman burst into tears many times each day as things were so overwhelming for her.
This new device, specifically designed for the elderly and people with disabilities, might have made things a little bit easier for my room-mate and might make a difference for some members of our community”. http://www.kisaphone.com.au/
