Aphasia Victoria are excited to host an event to celebrate and support the aphasia community.
The event will run from 2 pm to 5:30 pm on Saturday 21 October 2023.
It will be held in the Multipurpose Room, The Hub at Docklands, 80 Harbour Esplanade, Docklands VIC 3008.
The event will celebrate the recent ‘Conversation, Connection, Community’ campaign videos, which provide communication tips on how to better support those living with aphasia.
This event is also an opportunity to meet other people with aphasia, carers, speech pathologists and academics working in the aphasia space.
The program includes a panel discussion with people with aphasia and a speech pathologist and a performance by Stroke a Chord choir
To ensure this event is as accessible as possible, there is a ‘pay what you can’ option for tickets.
Free tickets are available for people with aphasia and their carers.
Others wishing to attend are requested to view their ticket purchase as a donation to Aphasia Victoria, which supports them in covering the cost of hosting this event.
Aphasia Victoria look forward to seeing you at their “Conversation, Connection, Community” event!
