Have you had a stroke or TIA, and you are worried about another?
There are things you can do to take charge of your health.
You could:
Be more active - 30 minutes most days
Eat well - more fruit, vegetables and whole grains
Avoid alcohol - the less you drink, the lower your risk
Quit smoking - your risk of stroke drops immediately
Take your medicines - for blood pressure, cholesterol, or blood thinners.
Not sure where to start? We are here to help!
Our FREE Living Well After Stroke program focuses on just ONE small change. We will ask you what you want to work on.
e.g. “I want to be able to walk to the beach each day and have a swim in the ocean.”
e.g. “I want to add 2 more vegetables to my diet each day.”
Over 8 weeks, in online group sessions, our facilitators will take you through strategies to help you achieve your goals, and other survivors will support you on the way.
