Infarct in Brainstem

Well first of all most folks that have had a brain stem infarct are affected a lot or dead. That's what I've learnt over the last five years as I had a brain stem infarct/stroke. Everyone experience is vastly different too I have learned, so what has affected me my be different for others. I had my issues happen in hospital while they were treating me for sepsis I had the infarct.

I have several issues as a result, balance is also one. I would just be guided by your GP and if your not happy see another. Not all doctors are on the ball has been my experience, perhaps a stroke specialist might be in order. They no how to charge which is hard for many.

I've had a brain stem stroke 1.5 years. And probably a silent one 7 years ago. Had bad dizziness both times. Second time went to hospital and had CT scan confirm a (small) infarct. Since then recovered tremendously. Can walk, swallow and see (almost) normal again. Still have some balance issues and neuropathic pain. And searching for ways to improve that...
