I have always had the belief that you mean certain people for good reason. Anyone else think that too?
During Stroke Week, one of my book signings was held at Rosetta Books, Maleny and it was there I met the lovely Cecelia Scahill. Cecelia is a recovery nurse for the Mental Health Dept at Caboolture Hospital. We chatted about my book, my stroke, my recovery and my depression and she invited me to present my Author Talk during Mental Health Week.
Today was that day and I presented to an audience of 20 people, including nursing and admin staff, outside counselors, patients and the public. One of the women who bought my book was visiting her father who had been admitted with chest pains and he was feeling very 'low' so whilst she went for some fresh air, she saw the poster about my talk and thought she would come along. She was so excited about giving the book to her father.
It was a lovely morning and I was presented with some flowers as a 'thank you'. I think I got more out of it than them and it was a lovely gesture.
Fore more info. about how to get hold of a copy of my book..head over to my website..until the end of October, the book is reduced by $5 so a signed copy will cost you only $15 (exc. p&p) and $2 from every book sold is donated to the Stroke Foundation in support of the work they do for me and others.

I really love my life and I love what I do.
Photos a bit grainy as the lecture room had weird lighting.
