Which doctor do I listen to? I have a GP who I'm seeing tonight for the first time post stroke. So I have a story to tell him tonight.
Then I have my rehab doctor, he's a rehabilitation specialist & very good at what he does, but I don't see him again for a few weeks.
Then I saw 2 stroke consults when I was in hospital.
So so who do I listen to in regards to rehab, work, food, medication?
I'm not sure about being on atorvastatin 80mg.
My strokes weren't caused by high BP or cholesterol... It was a random dissection on my vertebral artery. So why am I on such a high dose cholesterol medication?
One of the stroke consults (turns out he is head of Stroke for the Alfred!) seems to think I won't need to be on it long, maybe a couple of months.
My rehab doc seems to think I'll need be on it forever!!?
So who do I listen to? I'm not sure about it.
I'm having a little mental fog & I lose my train of thought quite often.
I don't know if it's the meds or just the stroke?
Anyone else not 100% sold on taking statins if cholesterol is fine?
Hope all this makes sense, 1st blog post and I may have rambled :-)
T.
