Researchers at the University of Newcastle are exploring what types of treatments Stroke Survivors/Carers prefer for managing post stroke fatigue and/or low mood conditions (e.g., depression, anxiety, low motivation\}. Here is how you can help the Researchers.
The team is conducting interviews with health professionals, stroke clinicians to seek their insights in relation to stroke rehabilitation and care; treatment preferences which may relate to medications, psychological therapies, lifestyle changes, or alternative remedies.
Who is eligible to participate?
Health professionals practicing in Australia, who have experience in treating post-stroke fatigue or low mood (depression, anxiety, apathy) using any type of therapy (e.g., medication, complementary therapies, or non-drug strategies).
What will your participation involve?
The research will involve a 30–45-minute interview, which can be conducted either online or in person. In-person interviews are available for participants in Sydney or Newcastle.
Locations for in-person interviews - Newcastle
Venues in Newcastle include Newcastle City Library (Laman Street), Wallsend Library (Bunn Street), and the Hunter Medical Research Institute (HMRI, Kookaburra Circuit, New Lambton Heights).
Locations for in-person interviews - Sydney
Venues in Sydney include= City of Sydney Library (Haymarket), Marrickville Library, and Green Square Library.
