Help 8months post stroke why is right side progressively freezing with increased numbness and stiffness! Coupled with pins and needles evey morning on awakening:still same and waking up three times during night! Same time each night. Still walking and swimming but feel very down! Is anyone experiencing these feelings- i feel going backwards the last few months!,
Lyn I feel so sorry for you dealing with those uncomfortable sensations. 5 years I continue to battle with them. With me the leg nerve problems come from a mixture of stroke, diabetes and spinal problems. I now wear compression stockings to bed. I wear the white TEDS toe to knee stockings. Relief is huge. Sometimes I will remove them if my legs feel too hot. I turned bedside clock away so I could not see the time. My brain could not say “ok, time to wake you up and get those nerves going.due to family genetics I think I am bordering on restless legs syndrome. My sister is a sufferer as was our mother.
Lyn I hope I have helped in some small way. I had long discussions with my Gp before I tried the stockings. Take care and good luck with success, keep posting. Pins and needles have eased off.
