As mortals we the humans focus today is mainly about our body-beautiful, the best of clothing, money as much as possible, an abode that is to our satisfaction and mobility with a motor vehicle or an aircraft etc. But do we differ from animals in this regard? Imagine a swan, it will find food to eat, will clean its feathers as and when necessary, has own cloths by way of feathers, an abode of a nest and mobility at its own discretion. In mobility it does not get constrained by traffic congestion or controlled by air traffic control or need fuel either fossil or other varieties. Thus in terms of what we the global citizens do as humans has not much difference from the birds. Where is the difference then? The difference is in our ability to have control of us which is the control of our mind. How do we control that so it does not make us sad or angry but peaceful and happy with no stress. That is with Mindfulness Meditation. If you develop the capacity to know you as you are in the present context and not be unduly concerned or transgress to either the past which is dead or future which has not arrived yet, then you are mindful of yourself. That is the best victory of all. So strive diligently in your meditation of observing the breath and with development of presence of mind be mindful of what you do at the present moment then you have succeeded.
