Hi
my father recently suffered a stroke and is currently in acute stroke ward in hospital. I'm wanting to know where I can purchase incontinence bed pads as well as a cream that can be applied to his bottom whilst he's in care to prevent any rash.

Hi Vanessa,
I am sorry to hear about your father’s stroke.
Usually, the hospital provides for the care needs of the patient while they are in hospital. However, if you have any concerns accessing these you may always talk to your father’s treating team.
If you would like to purchase any external items, it is always a good idea to speak to the nurse unit manager first before you make the purchase. Alternatively, you can buy any of these items from your local chemist or pharmacy.
I hope this information was useful. If you need any further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us on 1800 787 653 or strokeline@strokefoudnation.org.au
Wishing you well,
Strokeline
