Warfarin and strokes?

Being prescribed the correct medication for stroke prevention is key. If you or anyone reading is worried about whether they are on the correct medication they can discuss medication with the GP or specialist if there are any concerns. 

You might find our brochure on Atrial Fibrillation and information on Eating Well with Warfarin useful. There are other medications available now as alternatives to warfarin. This Stroke Foundation media release mentions them and some statistics from our 2011 audit. I hope that helps.

I am not sure, but a chemist in Kalgoorlie mentioned that her father whom had a stroke i think 2011 was o/k he was a doctor, but he had an issue simple communication, but really I am not sure. However last year 2015 the chemist then said that her father has now had another stroke and now he is part paralysed. He is no back in Sth Africa. I spoke to the chemist and yes her family did not like him, he separated and now he has another partner in sth africa. 

The chemist said that her father stopped using his medication? but again I am not sure.

So really the issue of Warfin and again I am not sure maybe another specialist has also used aspirin, but Warfin I think thickens the blood.
