Hi everyone,
My name is Jade and I am a postdoctoral research fellow at Monash University. I am currently coordinating a research study investigating an in-home lighting intervention for fatigue treatment for individuals who have sustained a stroke or traumatic brain injury. We have been conducting this study for the last 4 years and have seen some promising results. We are continuing to enrol participants in the study and encourage anyone who may be interested in this research to please get in touch with me.
If you experience sleep and/or fatigue problems since your stroke, we invite you to read our study flyer to see if you might be interested in being involved. Light therapy involves daily exposure to light of a certain wavelength, which has been shown to increase arousal and improve mood in other patient groups and in the non-injured population. You will receive two different light treatments across the course of the study. These two light therapies will be delivered over a period of approximately six months, in your home, and the effects of the two light therapies will be compared.
We are currently recruiting participants in Melbourne and surrounding suburbs. There are no costs associated with participation.
If you have any questions or would like to hear more about this study, please get in contact with me at jade.murray@monash.edu
Thank you for your time in reading this post.
Jade
